The Pewterer

Antique British pewter holds a subtle beauty, It has a soft, lustrous sheen and its surface always bears the marks of time.

Pewter was used throughout society, from royal households to the very poorest people, tavern ale tankards to the finest church candlesticks exist as testament. However, as pewter has a low melting point much early pewter has been melted down and re-used, often being reformed into new pieces during the nineteenth century. A pewterer was a skilled craftsman who worked with the copper and tin alloy and was a usually member of The Worshipful Company of Pewterers.

Our Pewterer Ghost uses fine metallic powders to replicate the timeworn appearance of old pewter ware. Each ghost has unique scars that mean within our small batch, no two ghosts will ever be the same.
