Beau Brummell

Early in June in the midst of the first National Lockdown experiments were carried out in the workshop that resulted into some unusual and striking Ghosts. These Ghosts which we named Beau Brummells do not lend themselves to larger batch production. They are made in smaller quantities and we have been putting a few aside over time until there is enough to form a larger batch for release.

Within this batch of Beau Brummells there are many variations in colour and pattern, each is a distinct fancy Ghost with its own character yet belonging specifically to this special category. When ordering a Beau Brummell you will receive one at random from this batch of diverse Ghosts. Beau Brummells are characterised by their multiple colours, soft marbling and unusual patterns which are lightly polished.

George “Beau” Brummell was described as the most famous and influential man in early 19th-century England. He sparked change not with military might, but with his inventive sense of sartorial style and dapper manner. Men copied what he wore, his mannerisms, and even his daily grooming routine. Brummell’s fashion mantra urged “the maximum of luxury in the service of minimal ostentation.” In fact our colourful Beau Brummell Ghosts may have been viewed by the man himself as a little too showy, he often preferred understated fine tailoring above exuberant couture.

However, the name has stuck and we present to you a raffish batch of splendidly hued Ghosts as part of this exclusive first release of Beau Brummells.
