The Midwinter Ghost

As we enter into a New year, the festivals of our many religions and cultures ebb away into the darkness of midwinter, tales of fire and frost and the hopeful whispers of a coming spring. In these dark days which although still short are growing longer, we are yet to feel the coldest of our months and these were the days which our ancestors felt the hardest. This Midwinter Ghost swirls the frozen grey winds of winter around a snowy white background. Each ghost differs in its detail and depth of colour, idiosyncrasies which are dictated by the hand producing it.
