Drappery Misses
This term is probably anything now but a mystery. In Victorian slang however a ‘Drappery Misses’ was a pretty, high-born, fashionable young female, well instructed by her friends, and furnished by her milliner and dressmaker with a fine wardrobe upon credit - to be repaid when married, by her husband.
Of course, the Ghost Merchants do not endorse or advocate such behaviour or attitudes in this day and age. The Drappery Misses is from another era and these “capability” style ghosts in shades of lavender and pink stand strongly alone, with other elegantly attired ghosts or perhaps alongside a dandyish suitor.
